I am back!

After a long break over the holidays, I am back with an update.

January has been an exceptionally warm January for Northeast Ohio. I was able to get a lot of running in. Was able to run my highest mileage month ever.

Also, during the month I got two 50Ks in. The first was the Cleveland FA50K organized by Art Moore. I had a blast. The FA stands for Fat Ass. A Fat Ass race is a low key, no frills run. No shirts, parties, or aide. Just show up and run. I got to spend the day with my friend and JFK teammate Dan Fox. Dan was looking for a long run that day training for the Rocky Raccoon 100 mile. (Dan ended up running RR100 and did awesome!)

The second 50K was the Winter Buckeye Trail 50K. Unlike last year's weather, I actually ran in shorts. So the weather was really nice. But here was the catch: Mud. Mud, mud, and more mud. The last loop was ankle deep in some parts. By the end, things were pretty rough. But, I finished.

Next up, Tampa Marathon...if I can kick this bug I have come down with.
